Compressor foundation modification to reduce noise and vibration to the vessel’s hull.
The compressor weighing 8 tons was lifted, then vibro-dampers, steel plates and steel brackets were mounted below the engine ("sandwich" type mounting). 4 tons of steel were used in the process. Welders, hull workers and certified mechanic engineer for laser works worked on this project, alignment of the TAC compressor was carried out using laser.
The works were completed in 6 days while the vessel stopped in Norway.
We provide noise absorbing blankets and other constructions to reduce marine vessel’s operational noise.
Noise absorbing blankets are made from water-proof noise absorbing “Pyrosorb” foam. It’s covered with tent material and has Velcro hooks for easy installation and removal.
Noise absorbing blankets can be manufactured in any required size, thickness and color. They can be installed on funnels, pipes and other surfaces.
We also offer noise-absorbing perforated steel and other constructions for various applications. Installation by our crew is provided at any location. Below you can see photos of noise-absorbing construction being installed on exhaust chimney.
